old photo by rachel

hey guys.. my old college roommate (and fellow mk, tho from afrika) and i looked thru old photos last friday (while i was hanging at her place for the day in atlanta awaiting a flight in from chicago for quinn)... she dug up this one of mad.. when mad was about a year old..
what a moment.. what a photo.. i see 5 billion of these moments a day with the girls, but i so appreciate this beautiful rendition of that moment.
mum! thanks for your post.. we lift you up and pray for your strength, both bodily and in your spirit.. we love you so much! thanks for pouring your heart.. don't ever feel like you're 'laying a trip' on us.. you are so dear to us!

Thanks Katey for the Kind words. They always mean a lot but these days even more so. That pic is so great. I visited someone from the church yesterday who just had a baby girl. It's their 3rd. They have a little girl about 2 and another about 3. She asked if I wanted to hold the baby (Gary was laughing inside) and as I held her and she looked up into my face it brought back so many memories. Then when I gave her back to her mom I got Emma, the 2yr old down from her highchair and washed her hands and held her for awhile. I want to hold my grandbabies so bad. I'm missing all the moments and have already missed so many in everyone's life. Anyway...really..I just wanted to say thanks. Love you guys!!Mom/Nana

hey mum!
i'm constantly encouraged and excited and spurred on by the fact that this life we're living now is 'the hard' part and that what is to come will be full and beautiful and everything we dream of all goodness and Love in Christ. and for now He has us in certain appointed places for appointed times for appointed works. be encouraged that you are NEEDED where you are, you are PURPOSEFUL in ways you can't even imagine. don't be discouraged as i am tempted to be sometimes!
you're right we need to pray for one another and i look forward to the day where we're (and not just the family; all the people in all the countries that have been a part of my life and yours) all together again. but as Nean constantly encourages me "kate, it's today we're living, this day God has given us, let's take care of what he's given us for today and let Him take care of our future."
it's cliche i know, but hold onto it, because it's true.
your music and steadfastness to the Word in your church and community are so important, i just want you to really KNOW that. :D
i love you! mahalo!

i think the last one from tommy will rock your face off.. i swear, tommy would have had his own book in the new testament had he lived with Jesus 2000 years ago.. :D
